TIPS FOR MEET PREPARATION
Before arrival
1.) Write your child's first name and age on their back, right shoulder
2.) Write your child's event #, heat, lane, and stroke info. on their inner forearm with a sharpie marker.
PLEASE MAKE SURE TO LEAVE AN AREA ON THE SWIMMER’S INNER FOREARM WITHOUT SUNSCREEN SO THE MARKER WON’T RUB OFF
The heat sheet and entries by name will be emailed to everyone. It is very important swimmers arrive with this information written on their arm. Complete instructions and an example of EXACTLY how it should look are as follows:
This is an example of an individual meet entry:
Jane Smith (12) # 5 Girls 11-12 200 Medley Relay A Free # 45 Girls 11-12 50 Back 49.10Y # 65 Girls 11-12 200 Free Relay A 3
This is how the numbers and terminology translate:
Jane Smith (12) = Swimmer’s name and age #5 = Event Number (E) 200 Medley Relay A Free = Stroke #45 = Event Number (E) 50 Back = Stroke #65 = Event Number (E) 200 Free Relay A 3 = Stroke & position number in the relay
This is how it should look: Please abbreviate the strokes as follows:
Free = FR
Breast = BR
Back = BK
Butterfly = FL
IM = IM Free Relay
1 = FRLY (1) Free Relay
2 = FRLY (2) Free Relay
3 = FRLY (3) Free Relay
4 = FRLY (4) Free Relay
