Hi there!

I really hope you guys enjoyed the meet last night.  It was so much fun watching the kiddos get excited about their races and getting to watch our  swimmers made my heart smile!  So proud of all of our kiddos!  We raced a team that had about 30 more kids than we do and we had a few swimmers out and as a result lost the meet.  I am attaching the meet results for you to see how your kids did.  We will be handing out ribbons from the meet on Monday morning at practice. 

I have a few observations from last night that I would like to share with you.  First, there was some confusion about how long we volunteer during the meets.  Unless you are setup or breakdown, you work the entire meet.  Some of the teams we race will switch out halfway through but that does not apply to us.  Also, as most of you saw last night it can be a bit crazy and if needed, we sometimes will call on parents during the meet as needed.  The dads that helped us break down the pop ups before the sun went down were amazing and it was great to see you guys unite and get it done so quickly.  We appreciate your willingness to help out and hope you understand that this is a completely volunteer run organization!  It was great seeing how people just saw what needed to be done and did it.  I am very grateful.

We still have swimmer and parent t-shirts as well as some swim caps that have not been picked up.  Please try to get that taken care of early this week!  We should know Monday how many shirts we have left and the remainder will be going on sale before the meet on Tuesday at the check in table.  Many of you are wondering if we will be having practice on Tuesday and the answer is yes.  Our coaches typically will take it easy on them and work mainly starts and relays. 

As a reminder, we will begin morning practice on Monday!  The practice times are:

6 and unders - 8 to 8:45 AM

7 & 8s - 8:45 to 9:30 AM

9 & 10s - 9:30 to 10:30 AM

11 to 18s - 8 to 9:15 AM

Please log in and declare if you will be attending the meet on Tuesday tonight if you can.  We are needing to put that meet together this weekend and the sooner we know who is going to be here the faster you will get you a finalized heat sheet to see what your kids are swimming.  Also, the volunteer sign up is active and the sooner you sign up the better your chances of getting the job you are wanting.  Please email me if you have any questions.  Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
