    Important Meet Info!

    Hello everyone!

    There are a few things we need to go over before our meet this week. Our kiddos need to be there at 4:30 to warm up.  Second, if you still have not brought your sodas we need them ASAP!!!  If you didn't pick up your t-shirts tonight please come to the entrance of the pool and pick them up.  There are only a few extras if you did not purchase one come early!  Swim caps and visors will also be available for purchase at that time as well.  

    If you swimmer has not checked in by the time our warm is over they will scratched from any relays they may have been in.  If you think you are done for the evening you need to check with a coach or me before leaving.  If for some reason you leave and a relay has to be scratched, your child will NOT be in a relay next week.  We also ask that ALL SWIMMERS stay with their age group under the tents during the entire meet.  This will help us with not having to hunt down your child right before a race.  If they need something from you they may visit but they need to hurry back to their area for the duration of the meet.  Please help us by sending your swimmer back to us if they wander off!

    This season we will be sending out the heat sheet for the meet the night before our meet - this week will be tomorrow sometime.  There will also be heat sheets (meet programs) available for $2 on Tuesday when you arrive if you want a hard copy.  If you have a phone you can download an app called meet mobile and it will show you in real time the scoring during the meet.  The website is http://www.active.com/mobile/meet-mobile if you are interested!  

    It is very helpful if you child has their races written on their body prior to the meet so they can keep track for themselves.  Please see attached graphic with the specifics on how to do this.  You may also ask any volunteer that has their name tag with red lettering on it for help if you are doing it the afternoon of the meet.  Utilize our veteran swim parents if you have any questions about anything!  They are always willing to help and I am usually trying to get everything finalized prior to our meet beginning and will NOT be available for questions. 

    Things you need to bring to the meet:

    2 towels - one to dry with and one to sit on, goggles (with name on them), swim cap (with name on inside), games, books or gaming system to pass the time in between races, sunscreen, sharpie to write the kiddos race information on them, highlighter to highlight their races on program, clip board for program, and chairs for spectators.

    We will have concessions available in the pavilion adjacent to the pool and the side gate behind the baby pool will be open for that.  There will be burgers, sausage wraps, and hot dogs as well as drinks, sno-cones, candy, and nachos. 

    I am sure I am forgetting something and will probably send out another email tomorrow with more information about meet day with the meet program and also will have our finalized summer morning practice schedule for you at that time as well. 

    It is going to be a fun end to the week.  I am super proud of ALL that our swimmers have accomplished thus far and cannot wait to watch them during the meet.  Please let me know if you need anything and I look forward to seeing everyone at the pool!
