Hello All!

It is hard to believe our 2014 summer swim season begins tomorrow.  There are a few things you need to be aware of before coming to the pool.  First, make sure that you sunscreen your kiddos if you can.  The girls need to be in a one piece swimsuit and have their hair pulled back.  Bring a towel, goggles and swim cap if they have long hair.  LABEL everything!  Our address at the pool is 9700 Mustang Gate.   We will enter through the side gate during our evening practices.    Our insurance coverage prohibits us from having anyone in the baby pool during our practices.  Also, children need to wait to enter the pool until given permission by the coaches. 

Our first week will be a time of getting the kids acquainted with their coaches and further assessments will be done.  At the end of the week we will be dividing our age groups into smaller groups with different times.  The coaches will begin working on more individual needs within the smaller groups and hopefully address areas they need more assistance with.  Bear with us as we do our assessments and know that the changes will only make our swimmers stronger.  

For many of you, this will be your child's first swim team experience.  We ask that you keep your distance during their practice time and allow the coaches to be in charge of your kiddos while they are in the pool.  This builds a trusting relationship between the coaches and the swimmers.  If you have questions or concerns, please address them before or after practice or come and find me and we can discuss the issue and come up with a solution. 

Some of you have not paid your dues and we will be available to take care of it tomorrow.   We will be setup at the entrance to the pool in the attendants room.  Make your check payable to Wildhorse Swim Team. 

We are super excited to have your kiddos in our program.  It is going to be life changing for them as they gain the stamina and experience that will last a lifetime.  Please let me know if you have any other questions and I look forward to meeting everyone at the pool this week!
