Hi there!

I want to thank you so much for giving us the opportunity to work with your kiddos this season.  It is so rewarding to see how far they came in just a couple of months.  Tomorrow night we will have their final ribbons and medals from the Championship and All-Star meets as well as a special Wildhorse momento.  Our party will be at 10314 Timber Country which is located at the top of our neighborhood closer to Braun Road.  Please come prepared to have some yummy BBQ and enjoy some play time in the water with your family.  If you cannot make it to the celebration, please email me and we will set up a time to get your kiddos final awards.

Many of you have inquired about club swim after seeing your kids excel in just a short time with us.  There are three teams that I know of that are associated with USA Swimming.  Alamo Area Aquatics Assocation (AAAA) is located in the Ferris Stadium parking lot just off of 1604 near Hausmann Road.  Most of our club swimmers are with this team.  You can go to http://www.teamunify.com/SubTabGeneric.jsp?team=stnisd&_stabid_=45063 to get more information.  The San Antonio Wave is another team and they practice at UTSA.  It is much smaller than AAAA but harder to get into because they cap the number of swimmers in each group due to space constraints.  You can find out more by going to https://www.teamunify.com/SubTabGeneric.jsp?_stabid_=82696&team=stsaw.  My son swims for the Wave and we have loved being there.  A word of caution for you if you are wanting to join this club once you have gone through the tryout and registration opens you have to register ASAP.  Last year, people sent their information at 1 :00 AM and the ones that did it at 12:01 AM got in the the others got on the wait list.  Please ask me if you have any questions!  Lastly, the San Antonio Swim Academy has a swim team and their contact information is http://www.sasasharks.com/.  I could not find out much from their website but they are at the Gold's Gym at Prue. 

This will be my final email of the season!  Don't worry though, you will get updates periodically if you are wanting to stay active with our team.  I try really hard to pass along our schedule early in 2014 so that you can plan your vacation around our very short seaosn.  Registration for next season will be happening in March next year so be looking forward to that as well.  You will have first dibs at joining since you are now a veteran of the team!  Have a great rest of the summer and I look forward to seeing most of you tomorrow at our party.
